The Sho me state
Why party rock like the next guy when you can set yourself apart from the rest?
This attitude is echoed by many DJs of the 808 but not many pull it off quite as convincingly as DJ Sho can.
Whether he’s playing for the upscale fresh at The Lotus, the old school groovers at Rumours or the tourist set at Red Lion, like his namesake suggests, is always ready to show and prove the moment needle hits vinyl. It’s this all-show, all-go mentality that warrants his name on the short list of unique DJs in the Islands.
“No matter if it’s a one hour or an eight hour gig I give it my best,” said the scene-respected dance floor boss. “I love dropping remixes and mash-ups and making people look at me like I’m crazy.”
With a weekend schedule consisting of venues as diverse as they come, promoters and fellow DJs will attest to Sho’s versatility as one of his standout strengths.
“To me, being a good DJ is always coming up with something different,” he said. “Always learn and never steal another DJ’s techniques.”
