DJ Spikeboy / Credit his DJ alias to his hair and the best gel money can buy, but when it comes to DJ Spikeboy’s ability get down and dirty on the 1s and 2s, he can’t help but show props and praises to his DJ homeboys.

“DJ Schwin, DJ Flip, DJ Lex1, DJ Flykid taught me and pushed me to where I’m at right now. I give these guys the credit for me becoming a DJ,” said the reckless party rocker.

Shout-outs aside, the Waipahu native is a prime example that a little push can in fact go a long way. He brings the club credentials with a resume that consists of Oceans 808, Black Diamond, Spada and SoHo.

Underrated or content? Never that, confident is where he is. Don’t let the dope hair fool you. This guy can bring it.

Last Thursday, the House Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection had a busy session hearing several controversial bills relating to geothermal energy. Chairman Denny Coffman introduced HB2689, which seeks to exempt slim-hole, or exploratory, geothermal test wells from any sort of environmental review as is currently required under Chapter 343 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Mega-developer Castle & Cooke has re-filed an application with the Land Use Commission (LUC) seeking to convert approximately 768 acres of Ag land–currently in cultivation–into a “master-planned community” entitled Koa Ridge. If successful, the project will consist of two parcels–Koa Ridge Makai and Castle & Cooke Waiawa.
