All systems go, all the time. That’s the only way DJ Lava gets down.
If more DJs rocked it like the hardcore deck-wrecker, partying in paradise would take on a whole new meaning. His high-octane tunes and video mix mastery should come with a warning label that says “Caution: Facemelting and Mindblowing Will Occur.”
A short hiatus left DJ Lava’s spirits in a fog. But once again with his grind meter back on smash mode, the amp master’s career is on the come-up with residencies at Maddog Saloon, The Shack Waikiki, Indigo, 939 Afterhours and the Dragon Upstairs. His “no fear” attitude allows him to stay level-headed while appreciating life’s high points and pitfalls equally.
“It’s like snowboarding. You can’t be scared,” he says. “You have to be a Jedi and see things through before you do them while using all your past experiences as fuel.”
The combination of hard work and hustle has certainly paid off. Lava himself promises that things will culminate to an even higher peak at the Love Festival next month.
Holding it down is what Lava does best. No puzzle. No mystery. Let the eruptions commence.
