In Glaude We Trust
The underground masses around the world never fully recover when Donald Glaude–the creator, the producer, the ultimate party fuse–is at the helm of the party ship.
Glaude’s emphatic fist pumps and facial expressions during his performances are an equal mix of joy and intensity. The hype master isn’t the first or the last to emulate such enthusiasm behind the decks–he’s just one of the best at it.
As one of the most iconic names in house music, past and present, Glaude helped define the underground West Coast rave scene throughout the ‘90s and put his beloved city of Seattle on the map. With songs such as “Soul Cha Cha” and “Get Up” as his defining hits, the legend from Tacoma, Wash., is also a mainstay in the DJ Mag Top 100.
Has it really been four years since the man had the island at his music mercy? Considering the frequency he would play here pre-2006, should we be mad that so much time has passed, or simply bask in the knowledge that, in a few short days, the wait will be over?
Adrenaline junkies, let’s go!
