Moor Better
Trancemaster Andy Moor, the Grammy-nominated music stalwart, will cannonball into the spring-break themed Livewire Beach Party 2013 spotlight this weekend.
Despite the many trends and subgenres of EDM, Moor has helped it forge ahead. As an undisputed leader of trance over the past 10 years, he was one of the first producers to bring big bass lines to the genre–one of EDM’s dominating elements today.
Moor’s current album, Zero Point One, has earned rave reviews for the creative avenues traveled. His overall catalogue includes standout remixes for Tiesto, Above and Beyond and Britney Spears, but he’s also known to delve into the realm of chill with relaxing down-tempo beats.
As far as personal milestones go, his Moor Music Podcast recently celebrated 100 episodes of global relevance. That’s a total of 6,000 minutes of handpicked dance tunes, if you’re counting.
A solid mainstay in the DJ Mag Top 100 since 2006 (he climbed to spot No. 15 in 2009), Moor is loved in the Islands for headlining Livewire Hawaii’s first major dance massive seven years ago. Shenanigans come full circle at Aloha Tower.
