Stay broken?
Welcome to CityWatch, a new occasional feature designed to help hold public officials accountable for fixing things that aren’t working around Oahu–and to give them credit when they do.
Here’s how it works: You let us know when you see something that’s not working. It could be a broken swing set at the local playground, a “no parking” sign obscured by branches, a leaky water pipe, an unmarked trail head–anything that looks like State or City responsibility that isn’t getting taken care of. We’ll check it out, contact the agency responsible and see what they have to say, and report back here, complete with contact information for whom to contact with comments. We’ll check back in from time to time and offer updates in this space, letting you know when repairs are completed–or when it begins to look like the fix is in.

COMMENTS
We often print online comments in our “Letters to the Editor” section of Honolulu Weekly. While submitted letters are often edited for length and clarity, online comments we use are printed entirely as they are written for the website. If you do not wish for your comment to be used in Honolulu Weekly print issues, please write “Don’t Print” at the end of your comment. For questions, e-mail editorial@honoluluweekly.com. Thank you!
