Burrito buzz
From the Internet to your belly / So we don’t have the Twitter kim chee taco truck that L.A. is obsessing over–it only reveals its tasty location to hungry, hungry people on the social networking site –but Honolulu recently has been graced with its own online Mexican food source. Find the mysterious food vendor on the Interweb (sorry, you gotta earn this one), place your order and wait at the drop-off point with an Abe Lincoln in hand. Featuring homemade food, the one-person delivery operation so far has offered picadillo and chili verde burritos stuffed with rice and beans with a side of delicious salsa. The offerings will expand and rotate, with beverages such as café con leche being considered.
After a successful first two weeks and a brief break, burrito magic will be “back on the streets and curbing ur hunger July 29th!” Downtown, Kakaako and Ala Moana denizens will have a new meaning added to TGIF, as the usual Wednesday delivery will be moved to Fridays for those neighborhoods. Burrito bonanza!
