Everybody have fun tonight
Wang Chung’s Karaoke Bar / The place is smaller than a studio apartment. And that’s part of why it’s so easy for the owner of Wang Chung’s Karaoke Bar, which opened earlier this month, to walk around and shake hands with everyone who comes through the door. But you get the feeling he would do this in any sized venue. The vibe at Wang Chung’s–where vodka and Red Bulls flow freely, and even the bartender sings karaoke while he shakes cocktails–is like a house party (only in a really, really tiny house). But the venue’s small size is more than made up for by its quality and character. Wang Chung’s is clean and inviting with a line of white paper lanterns that hang like glowing moons above the bar. And while regulars say it’s not technically a gay bar, it’s definitely gay friendly. Above all, it’s a place to gather for friends, songs and a few too many drinks. You’ll be left wanting more at last call.
