Free tennis clinic / Members of the Hawaii Pacific University tennis team are sharing their talent with local keiki in a free tennis clinic at Koko Head District Park over the course of the next four weeks. Starting this Saturday, Sea Warrior team members will teach your little ones how to hone their tennis skills (or at least how to have fun while trying).
HPU Tennis Coach Stefan Pampulov said that it’s important for his team to give back to the community, and that (bonus!) doing so only strengthens Hawaii’s global standing in the sport.
“Our goal has been to promote tennis here in Hawaii and make Hawaii players better and better,” Pampulov said. “We’re hoping to attract kids from all of the elementary schools.”
HPU’s clinic is a don’t-miss opportunity for young sports enthusiasts (not to mention those keiki who could stand to break a sweat whether or not they’re enthused about it), so be sure to arrive early. Tennis racquets will be provided.
