Summer books
Summertime and the living is easy. Of course, that’s not how it always is, but that’s how it should be. In this ever-busy check-your-email-every-other-second-of-the-day world, settling down might be a challenge. Our suggestion: Grab a good book. Or two. Or three. Or a dozen. Just relax. With the latest installment of Honolulu Weekly’s summer book issue, we offer up a quick selection of the best fiction and non-fiction–some from local authors, some simply based in the Islands. From the heroics of the men in the 442nd and 100th in World War II to the ghosts in Lois-Ann Yamanaka’s house to Windward Community College’s Common Book program, your battle to take it easy just got, well, easier.

COMMENTS
We often print online comments in our “Letters to the Editor” section of Honolulu Weekly. While submitted letters are often edited for length and clarity, online comments we use are printed entirely as they are written for the website. If you do not wish for your comment to be used in Honolulu Weekly print issues, please write “Don’t Print” at the end of your comment. For questions, e-mail editorial@honoluluweekly.com. Thank you!
