Fall Arts 2008
New England has its beautiful auburn leaves. San Francisco has its Indian summer. We might put away our pair of well-worn black slippers for…another pair of black slippers? Really, one of the few demarcations of our fall is a turning of the calendar page from August to September. But aside from those enumerated boxes telling us the season is moving forward, another sign of the coming season is fall arts–ots of ‘em. Fortunate enough to be graced with a combination of homegrown creativity from such places as Kumu Kahua and Manoa Valley Theatre, to Samoana dance from Aceh, O’ahu’s small scene continues to have a growing impact on our own kind and for the rest of the world to see.
