Mo Mao
Mao Farms fundraiser / Our local beacon of food sustainability, Mao Farms, is having its fifth annual fundraiser on Saturday, September 5, 6–9pm at Downtown. This has been a good year for Mao, with the expansion into 11 more acres of Waianae farmland. This will allow Mao to provide Oahu with more delectable organic produce and eventually a visitor center and more work facilities. If you’re serious about sustainable food on Oahu, this is the one fundraiser you should attend this year.
There will be ‘ono and pono food by Ed Kenney and crew, music by Kupaaina, and silent and live auctions.
This popular event generally sells out so make your rez now. $125 ($100 tax deductible) per person.
