The Wedding Café

Just say yes

The Wedding Café / There’s only one place we know of on Oahu where you can nosh on a spicy tuna sandwich while shopping for a complete outfit. That one-stop shop is The Wedding Café, located in Ward Warehouse. As child, owner Tanna Dang would dream of big, white dresses and marry her Ken and Barbie dolls. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, Dang worked for Hawaii Bride & Groom magazine. Dang and her husband Bryson purchased the café in 2004. The Wedding Café got its name because it used to be just that–a place that had soup, sandwiches and coffee along with stacks of wedding magazines and books for customers to look at. The eatery quickly expanded after the Dangs held a bi-annual wedding event at their café, where wedding vendors would highlight their services. Tanna loved weddings so much that she wanted to have a place where brides can come before, during and after their event. Now, The Wedding Café is a fashion boutique and wedding services concierge, and according to Tanna, her retail café is meant to serve “the bride, the girl and the diva.”
