It’s magic, you know
Magicians are always boasting about the things they can disappear. And in the case of Franz Harary, those things include the Taj Mahal, the space shuttle, the U.S.S. Missouri and Diamond Head. Impressive, yes, but wouldn’t we be more indebted to Harary and his magical cohorts if they made our pet peeves, annoyances and just plain ol’ problems disappear? Skyrocketing property taxes. Coqui frogs. Bev Harbin. Somebody wave your magic wand over those things, and we’ll call you the great and wonderful Oz. Of course, that ain’t gonna happen. Oh well. This week the world-renowned optical illusionist Harary, who’s worked for the likes of the Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper and Michael Jackson, will be dazzling audiences with his magical know-how. What exactly he will make disappear is unknown, but you can be rest assured it won’t be the homeless in Ala Moana Beach Park; Mufi’s already taken care of that. Joining him will be Murray (pictured above)–yes, like Cher, Jewel and Makana he only goes by one name–an up and coming magician know for his humor and his sleight of hand.
