Dante’s paradisco
Clubs / Texas-born and flower-haired, world-traveled and home-grown–Christine Renee is living life in a DJ’s dream and happens to be bringing her dance-driven eclecticism across the Pacific, invading the archipelago this weekend.
Double Joy, thirtyninehotel’s Saturday-night dance party, is an evening of music that moves and breathes–not of recycled synthesizer techno. And Renee is a shining, sweating example of the type of DJ that’ll provide an organic sample of this style-blended disco.
Originally from Austin, Texas (a town that needs no musical introduction), Renee made a name for herself in New York as a thoroughly entertaining engagement–playing mixes not traditionally spun for weekend clubs but ones that were embraced quickly by the beat-seeking hippies and hipsters of NYC.
Now treating her talent to Laurel Canyon, Calif., Renee heads here to Honolulu for a doubly delicious night of disco, dance and dabbling in more genres than joy-filled guests can think of.
You want adventure? So does she, and you don’t have to follow her to Guatemala or Paris.
Just be in the line
for thirtynine,
before or when,
the clock strikes 10Ö
