I don’t got the blues
Anna Bannana’s Blues Fest / Don’t let the jukebox at Anna Bannana’s fool you. There may not be an extensive selection of blues on the thing (although we do love it and have been known to feed it more money than we spend on drinks, even), but the venue still knows how to pay homage to the truly American genre. Anna’s introduced its now-annual blues fest last summer and it returns this Sunday for a celebration of blues music that features five bands playing for five hours for an entry fee of–that’s right–just $5. Among the scheduled performers are Tell Mama, Corey Funai Blues Band, Friends of Adam among others. And forget the bring-your-own-grub Anna’s standard–this party’s catered by Kailua Cajun master Kevin Two Boots. Hard to have the blues on a night like this.
