Attention all ’80s junkies nostalgic for zebra-print leggings and shoulder pads: Get your fix this Friday at Pipeline Cafe with famed rock group,The Fixx. Although the quintet will probably don more up-to-date attire, we’re happy to announce that their sound is still quintessential ’80s New Wave. Hailing from London–as well as the early era of MTV à la Bowie and Duran Duran–The Fixx is responsible for gems like “One Thing Leads to Another” (featured on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City) and “Red Skies,”which laments the testing of atomic weapons. The band has been playing music for more than 25 years, giving precedent to the popular saying: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
