Kekahi mau mele ma Kou

Na Palapalai / For 15 years now, Na Palapalai has been making beautiful Hawaiian music, singing and playing the traditional way and in ‘olelo Hawaii. It seems fitting that this classy outfit will mark its 15th year with the release of a new album, and in elegant Hawaii Theatre, surely one of the most prestigious concert halls in the Pacific.
The band will also have plenty of friends along for the anniversary celebration, other major players in Hawaiian music like Kealii Reichel, Kupaoa, Mevina Liufau and Mark Yamanaka. The traditional Hawaiian music community is a tight-knit one, and performers often share billing at showcase shows, so it seems likely that a real ‘ohana spirit will make this a night to remember not just for the performers, but for lovers of their music.
