Punk in the box

Once-A-Month Punk / Skate punks never die. They just get bruised up and keep on rolling. These days, skate punks are licking their wounds and rolling down to Waikiki Sandbox for Once-A-Month PUNK. The event is the brain child of House of Flys and Stunt Dog Productions, a refuge for fans of both skateboarding and the early ’80-bred subgenre of punk rock, known as skate punk. Once-A-Month PUNK takes a stab at decriminalizing the punk rock and skateboarding scene and what better place to do it than Waikiki, a no skate zone. The irony is so… punk rock! Aside from checking out the latest skate videos, November’s installment promises to deliver live punk bands from Honolulu and Puna: False Crack, Cronseedz, MistermeaneR, Old Habits Die Hard, Pimpbot and Dicks of Doom.
