Mind, body and spandex

Vinyasa Flow yoga / There are few opportunities in life where you can stretch your body, calm your mind and show off your best spandex shorts in a single sitting. Luckily, The Contemporary Museum and lululemon athletica Ala Moana will provide the Zen trifecta at the March 16 event, The Art of Yoga with Kate Baldwin.
The class is in Vinyasa Flow yoga, which means “breath-synchronized movement.” The experienced instructor leads the class through a series of poses gently transitioning with inhales and exhales. The class runs a little longer than an hour and is open to all skill levels.
The event will be held among the floral landscaping, stunning views and provocative art fixtures of the Nuumealani (Heavenly Terraces) Garden at The Contemporary Museum. The pleasant surroundings prove a handy distraction should your downward dog get a bit hairy.
