A luau old and new

Return to Waikiki – A Luau and Cocktail Show / Makana, master of the slack key guitar, comes to Waikiki in a brand new show. Return to Waikiki — A Luau and Cocktail Show is located in International Marketplace, a novel place to celebrate one of the Islands’ master talents.
Tourists and Hawaiian music afficianados can experience both traditional and contemporary sounds while the outdoor setting makes for a unique dinner show beneath the famous banyan trees of the marketplace.
Joining Makana will be steel guitarist Buck Giles; Maunalua founding member, Lono Kaumeheiwa; drummer and percussionist, Richard Marquez; upright bassist and vocalist, George Lopez; famed pianist Adela Chu; hula legend Auntie Florence Iwalani Koanui; and dancer Pua Laa.
Proceeds from the opening night on Saturday, Aug. 7, will benefit Kanu Hawaii and the Surfrider Foundation.
