Et tu, hangover?
’80s Pop Muzik: The Toga Party / What the Island needs now is a toga party. Enter Bar 35. Grab that bedsheet, wrap it around yourself and throw some leaves on your head for the latest edition of ’80s Pop Muzik: The Toga Party.
Get all Belushi, indulge your inner Animal House, raise a glass to the Roman god Bacchus and enter to win some awesome prizes while getting completely, hedonistically poop-faced. The winning group (of up to five people) or solo contestant will be judged on most original and creative costume and most original and creative name for a grand prize of a one-night hotel accommodation and guest list status at the next Pop Muzik event. First runner-up gets the guest list entry plus Consolidated Theater movie tickets.
Resident DJs Nocturna and Modboy will spin the greatest hits from that decade of synthesizers and feathered hair and they will be joined by special guest and former KTUH-er DJ Cogswell, who now resides in San Antonio, Texas. If that’s not pagan enough for you, there will also be oracle and prophecy readings by the fruit-licious C. Lemon. Don’t scoff. Julius Caesar really could have used a decent fortune teller.
