Shop. Grind. Give.
Bring your quarters and your appetites to Aloha Stadium on Labor Day for the 2012 Shop & Grind for a Cause, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii.
“We are asking the public for monetary donations to help pay for household supplies for the Ronald McDonald House in honor of their 25th anniversary this year,” says Samantha Spain, Aloha Stadium’s sales and marketing specialist. “If everyone donates even a quarter or two we could raise over $6,000.”
Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace will host vendors, crafters, and food trucks like North Shore Goodies, Shanda’s Hawaiian Designs, Braddah’s Wagon, Le Crepe Cafe, Ka Hokuao Coffee, Island Sandwich Creations, Gourmet Hawaiian Salt, Kona Ice truck, and Kay’s Treasures, along with monthly swap meet regulars like TEC Ventures and Uncle’s Hawaiian Organics.
“Last year we had 45 vendors providing a good mix of food, crafts, clothing, jewelry and accessories,” Spain recalls. Musician Troy Fernandez will entertain shoppers, who can also enter to win a Vegas giveaway by downloading the new Stadium iPhone app.
There will be free entry and free parking at the Salt Lake Boulevard parking lot, Gate 1 entrance of the stadium.
