Hawaii news never
The amalgamation of Channel 8 (KHNL) and Channel 9 (KGMB) news now comes with giggles and some of the old theatrical posturing. One young lady looks into the camera with a kind of steely defiance.
Perhaps “they know not of what they speak.” Too young to have experienced war, torture, hunger, they read the news with detachment and appear to find it very entertaining.
The viewer, who is bemused but not amused, turns to another channel–or rents a movie.
