Partisan pride
There are serious questions that have been raised by qualified professionals about the veracity of global warming. For Süs Shawhan [Letters, 11/11] to diminish even the thought of debating the issue makes me question the depth of thinking that the writer gives any current issue.
The Cap and Trade bills floating in Congress raise just such an issue. They’re based on the questionable certainty that Shawhan and the like have about Global Warning. Being that the economic consequences of Cap and Trade would be disastrous to our economy, one would hope that serious debate would be a given.
