Reporter’s response
As to the Aug. 1 yes-voting association with SB755, my most sincere apologies. I overlooked the fact that the Senate, in the 2011 session, passed the bill in its original form: a “tax holiday” for the purchase of back-to-school supplies. The House of Representatives amended the bill in 2012 to allow peer-to-peer poker, and then later to expedite development. The Senate has never acted on the current version of SB755. Again, my most sincere apologies, especially to the bill’s introducers, Senators Fukunaga, Chun Oakland, Wakai and Tokuda.
