All for the money
When solutions to global warming cut into profits of Big Business (“Climate Change in Hawaii: It’s Here,” Jan. 2)–it’ll never happen. Jesse Souki OSP says, “We have a pretty good idea of what the problem is . . . The hard part is figuring out what to do about it.” NO, the hard part is figuring out how corporations can MAKE MONEY on eliminating greenhouse gas emissions. Look at the installation of electric car recharging stations–a global corp. MADE MONEY from us by installing them. Photo-voltaic companies MAKE MONEY. Raising GMO corn and using it for biofuel MAKES MONEY. Our law makers defend those businesses that would by hurt by reducing CO2 emissions or any other law, in the name of “economic growth.” THAT’S the problem.
