Must be the ganja
Just what Hawaii needs–more of the population doped up, moving slowly and eating more junk food (“Lightening Up On Cannabis,” March 6). Oh well, I suppose all the smiles will make the tourists happy. Probably won’t improve our school test scores, but since we don’t drug test the teachers we’ll never know for sure.

You couldn’t live up to your name more! Bravo for missing the whole point on civil liberty and inequalities issues that run rampant within the drug war. Little do you know, your local stoner is probably employed (try affording weed without a job) with a degree, eating at your neighborhood co-op organic market and probably a lot more informed [about] social issues than you. Why should personal drug use matter if it isn’t brought to the workplace or affect job performance? Some of the most intelligent professors I have ever had happened to be recreational users of non-government drugs.
