Opened: Izakaya Shinn, a more upscale venture from the owners of bento eatery Kokoro Tei. The izakaya features Japanese small plates, a robata grill and a sushi bar in a swank setting.
Closing: SaporiEnoteca. Donato Loperfido is (temporarily?) out of the restaurant business once again.
Now serving breakfast at Sweet Home Waimanalo. Specials include a Kalo-and-Egg Breakfast Burrito and Coconut Sweetbread French Toast.
Free pancakes with breakfast at Kit ‘n’ Kitchen. Breakfast served daily from 7:30am to 11am.
DK Kodama and Daniel Dae Kim are selling their interests in Counter Kahala LLC. Two of the original four co-owners, Ed Robles and Pablo Buckingham, will continue to be partners of the restaurant, which will operate as usual.
