The Hawaii State Farm Fair is this weekend, July 9 and 10 at Kualoa Ranch. In addition to the carnival activities and food, there will be a 4-H livestock competition and live auction of pig, lamb, steer and goats. Admission is $5 per adult.
Kaiulani Spices, locally made spice blends, like Hawaiian Cajun and Kona Coffee, are now are all organic.
Some upcoming openings we’re excited about:
Morning Glass Coffee, which will feature small-batch local coffees roasted in house, as well as a sampling of world coffees. Expect fresh pastries and food, too. Opening date will be mid-July.
Prima, by the team that brought you V Lounge. More than just a Windward outpost of their Neopolitan pizza, Prima will offer a larger Italian American-inspired menu. Projected opening date is late summer.
Cactus, by John Memering, the former Executive Chef at Kalapawai Café, “a celebration of the cuisines of the new Americas,” influenced by Central and South America, as well as Cuba, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Projected opening date is November.
