The people who brought you Haleiwa Farmers’ Market are starting their third farmers’ market at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Starting September 3, open Saturdays 9am to 1pm.

Barrel aged negronis at Town bar: gin, vermouth and Campari, mixed together and aged seven weeks in rye barrels for a smoother cocktail.

Launch of Voyaging Foods, which produces gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods made with organic Hawaiian taro flour. Items include Fudgie Bites with Taro Leaf frosting, Whoopee Cakes with flax and coconut flour and Pumpkin Bread, all promoted as a healthier food alternative by founder Brynn Foster. Available at Beach Bum Cafe.

Closing: Oceans 808 to close at the end of the month, with Tower 10–restaurant, bar and club–to open in its place in late October.
