A new pop-up restaurant: Chef Bob McGee, formerly of 12th Ave Grill and SALT, launches Plancha next week. Dinner will be served Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday starting September 5 at Morning Glass Coffee and Cafe. One seating at 8pm, 4-6 courses, $45 per person.
Wine Spectator recognizes George Mavrothalassitis (aka Chef Mavro) as one of the eleven “most important French chefs working in America today” — others include Alain Ducasse, Daniel Boulud, Pierre Gagnaire, Eric Ripert & Joel Robuchon.
