Dogged. Hank Adinaya of Hank’s Haute Dogs is redoing the former Melt truck (“I wanna make a really cool truck.”) and seeking a North Shore or Windward side spot. Opening: “Sometime in April . . . well, by summer.”

Not THAT Julia. Cafe Julia @ YWCA opens in May at the Richard Street YWCA. Named for Julia Morgan, the famed designer of Hearst Castle and several US YWCAs. Chefs are Lance Kosaka (Alan Wong’s Pineapple Room) and Derek Watanabe (Watabe Wedding Chapel).

Here’s the beef. Zippy’s Restaurants has received the 2011 National Foodservice Beefbacker Award from the Beef Checkoff Program in part for its use of local beef and for “making beef a highlight on their menu.”
