Market Nights: Kapi’olani Community College’s popular Saturday farmers’ market has a new little sister: a 4-7PM Tuesday market, in a couple-month test run. More fresh food, fewer restaurant booths (and perhaps few tourists).

Get REAL: REAL, a Gastropub, is open at Ward Centre under the direction of chef-owner Troy Terorotua, formerly of Sam Choy’s restaurant with Mike Longworth, another Sam’s alum, as chef de cuisine. The theme: fresher, lighter-than-usual pub grub (including beer ice cream).

Whole Wine: Whole Foods South Pacific Region is partnering with Hearst Ranch in Paso Robles, Calif. to add three new wines to its One Wine line: Pinot Gris, Sangiovese and 50/50 wine blend. Partners for the changeable, limited-edition brand have includes such well-known names as Clendenen and Au Bon Climat.

Show Off: The long-running Taste of the Hawaiian Range and Agricultural Festival is seeking farmers, ranchers and food producers for the daytime free trade show and evening grazing event 17th annual event Sept. 21 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. It’s organized by the Mealani agricultural testing station near Waimea.
