Soul Drain. Chef Sean Priester has closed his Pacific Soul restaurant in Kaimuki but follow him online to find out where his Soul Patrol food truck will be parked (often Kaka’ako area).
E Pili Mau. After a much-heralded beginning at Heeia Kea Pier, chef Mark Noguchi and friend and publicist Amanda Corby have left the bricks-and-mortar world for now to form Pili Hawaii, an organization whose name means “intertwined,’ and which brings together Island products, Island farmers, communication, education, food and– yes, he’ll still do some catering. They are researching and a web site is set to launch in October.
