There shall be dinner! Known for its commitment to serving the best local meats, The Whole Ox Deli has only served breakfast, lunch and sides–until now. The newly-added dinner menu features hearty dishes such as kielbasa sausage, beef and pork shank, lardo (Italian cured meat), poutine (gravy and cheese-topped French fries) and dry-aged burgers.
The new guy Known for their perfect twists on local contemporary foods, Hoku’s at The Kahala Hotel & Resort has announced that there’s a new chef in town–or at least, in their kitchen. Chef Jeremy Shigekane, who has also worked at Chai’s Island Bistro, is the new Chef de Cuisine.
For the soul Downtown diners have been happy to find a new cuisine on Bishop Street–Peruvian and Argentinean. Horeo’s Chicken has been open for just a few weeks and now that word has gotten out, lines are forming, and chicken starts to sell out around 1pm. Among the popular offerings are chicken soup with cilantro sauce, tamales and savory roast chicken.
