To Market: The successful Ala Moana Farmers’ Market is opening a new weekly Tuesday evening market from 4-7pm at the Ala Moana Center, second-level parking lot near Sears. More than 50 vendors are expected and there will be a 70-seat café. The Tuesday Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation market continues 4-7pm every week at Kapiolani Community College.
To Market Some More: The Wahiawa Farmers market has begun accepting EBT cards for the purchase of fresh, locally raised fruits and vegetables. The Market, organized by the Wahiawa Community Based Development Organization, has partnered with GreenWheel Food Hub to make it possible for those receiving government assistance to buy healthier foods in a farmers’ market setting.
Aaaaaaaw: Naked Cow Dairy is proud to announce the birth of its first Island-born Jersey calf. Island Girl and Mom are doing fine.
New SOUL: A longtime favorite of islanders for comfort food, SOUL, has found a new location–one that’s not in a truck. They have taken up residence in the Remington College Building.
