More Medals Kailua’s Madre Chocolate has grabbed yet another award for its Hawaiian Triple Cacao Chocolate Bar. The only Hawaii food product to be recognized, the bar was awarded a Good Food Award in the annual competition of environmentally conscious foods on Jan. 19. It’s a perfect prelude to Hawaii Grown Cacao Month in February!
Seafood For All The Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood truck is stationed on Kapahulu Avenue, but eaters can now purchase plate lunches of garlic shrimp, grilled steak or ‘ahi, loco moco and more prepared by the same folks at Shirokiya food court’s Yataimura section on the second level.
Cupid’s Choice [OpenTable.com], an online reservation and review service, utilized more than five million reviews to rank 10 of Hawaii’s restaurants as part of the country’s 100 most romantic. Favorites such as La Mer, Michel’s and Sarento’s made the list, putting Hawaii second, out of 100, behind California.
To Windward We Go Aloha Crepes opened a third location at Windward Mall. They offer sweet and savory varieties, such as alfredo pizza, teri chicken, Nutella and brownies and s’mores, as well as their signature Aloha Snowflakes shave ice.
