Opened: Izakaya Shinn, a more upscale venture from the owners of bento eatery Kokoro Tei. The izakaya features Japanese small plates, a robata grill and a sushi bar in a swank setting.
Food & Drink / Opened: Keeaumoku Supermarket. This bright and clean supermarket specializes in Korean products–naturally, given its location on Koreamoku–and offers a kimchee and banchan bar, bentos and baked goods.

Last Thursday, the House Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection had a busy session hearing several controversial bills relating to geothermal energy.
