The Contemporary Museum at the First Hawaiian Center
THE CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM / The picturesque Contemporary Museum of Honolulu overlooking Makiki is free to the public every third Thursday. On Furlough Fridays museum admission is free for anyone who can provide a government ID. Allison Wong, the museum’s executive director, says military personnel can visit the museum for free as well. The Contemporary Museum’s second location at the First Hawaiian Center in Downtown is always free to the public. Open during regular bank hours, the Contemporary Museum at the First Hawaiian Center will feature the work of Ray Yoshida from March 12–June 11.
