The University of Hawaii–Manoa Outreach College
John Young Museum of Art / The UH-Manoa Outreach College is a place a person looking for free stuff to do should know about. First, there is the John Young Museum of Art, which is open to the public on weekdays and Sundays. The museum features artifacts and art by the late local artist John Young. Public talks, hosted by Pacific New Media, allow people to learn from the professionals on a range of techniques, tools and mediums. Upcoming talks include an “Introduction to Large Format Canon Digital Printing” and “Apple iMovie 09.” On Sundays in June and July, the UH Kids First! Film Festival, the world’s largest film festival geared toward children, takes place.
