Wine-tasting Tuesdays
D’VINE / No professional recessionista would shell out $20 on a bottle of unfamiliar wine. How about a place that lets you sample new wines for free? D’Vine Fine Wine and Spirits, located at the Koko Marina Shopping Center, hosts a free wine tasting every Tuesday from 5:30pm–7:30pm. D’Vine opened it doors in 2008, after Susan Rojas and Mazi Escudero discovered their passion for wine while on a European backpacking trip. Rojas says that the wine tasting offers four different wines along with a small pupu spread. “The wine tasting helps people break out of their bubble of cabernets or chardonnay,” says Rojas. The folks at D’Vine welcome visitors to learn and discuss wine in an environment that is not intimidating or exclusive. Pouring stops right at 7:30pm, so wine lovers, get there before last call.
